CHILDREN
At the
Florida Swim Academy we use a grade system because children already understand this vocabulary and the
purpose of grades. They know you move from one grade to the
next as you master skills. We keep our system simple and
logical:
Here is how our
system works:
Grade 1 – Learn Breath Control
Grade 2 – Learn body position
Grade 3 – Learn propulsion
Grade 4 – 10 Learn strokes
As you can see our progression
is not rocket science! We teach the fundamental skills of
breathing and body position first and then stroke. The
result is a strong swimmer who can move effortlessly through
the water. Our goal is to teach your child to be a swimmer
who can swim efficiently, safely and confidently for life.

Age Lessons:
Every class features
technically correct swim skills and safety skills. Our
professional teachers understand children learn best through
play. We use games, colorful toys, fins, kickboards, water
slides and even a rope swing to teach and make learning fun!
